Its that time of the season where you get strange results and score lines in the Evo-Stik league and today was again one of those with Bamber Bridge running out 5-2 winners.
The tigers were on a high after last weeks result and it showed as they dominated the play and chances early on. Hyde went 1-0 up on 10 minutes when Jordan Fagbola capitalised on a free ball in the box, thrashing it into the top corner.
Then, the game changed. The hosts got the ball forwards quickly and equalised when a Dawson header was deflected into the net. Bamber continued to put Hyde under pressure and it paid off when a poor clearance by Fagbola fell to Marlow and he struck a sweet volley first time to make it 2-1.
Right on half time, the hosts were awarded a free kick about 25 yards from goal. Dudley stepped up, firing through the wall and into the corner of the net to go in 3-1 ahead.
Darren made changes at half time, bringing on Luke Porritt and James Poole, who looked lively and made an impression after signing on loan this week, despite not getting himself onto the score sheet.
Bamber got their 4th when Dawson cut inside under little pressure curling the ball into the top corner to leave Crook with no chance. The 5th was almost a carbon copy when Dawson stepped inside curling into the same corner, to take the match ball home.
The score line was more 1 sided than the game was, Hyde having an incredible 13 corners with the majority being cleared by an outstanding Bamber Bridge back line who summed up their teams hard work in a deserved victory.
Chib Chilaka, in good goal scoring form, got the tigers a consolation late on when he got onto the end of a corner, meaning the final score ended 5-2 to the home side.
